Feeling unseen? Insignificant? Unimportant?
Your first calling and ministry is to the King Himself, and it doesn't matter who else doesn't see you, because HE sees you, and knows you, and calls you accepted, loved, precious in His sight. Find your refuge in Him. Darkness must flee before His Presence, so seek that place of Light, as a shield around you, where the enemy can't find you. We'll all be Home SOON, but right now you have a purpose, a job to do...and the enemy is only a thief, a liar, a destroyer.
One of God's names is El Ro'i, which in Hebrew means "the God who sees", and He sees you right now, right where you are. One of my favourite chapters in the Bible is Psalm 139. Why not look it up and see what God has to say?! You were on God's mind even before you were conceived, and have an eternal importance and destiny.
I came across a wonderful article awhile ago that I'd like to encourage you to read, because Wendy van Eyck expresses so well what we need to hear:
Spend your time walking before the Lord. Live for an audience of One. Know you belong in the Beloved, in the Body of Jesus. "Enoch walked with God, and was not, for God took him." (Genesis 5:24). I think one of the saddest lines in all of Scripture is found in Matthew 7:23, where the Lord says, "...depart from Me, I never knew you...". Let's set our eyes on Him, and make it our priority to know Him, and be known by Him.
Many people in the Bible had times in the wilderness. Moses, David, Elijah, even Jesus. If you are in the wilderness, feeling alone, unseen, uncared for, know your desert wanderings won't last forever...God has a plan, a purpose, a future for you. The wilderness is where God speaks. The Hebrew word for wilderness is midbar, which comes from the same root as medaber, meaning "to speak", the root being dabar -word. God is speaking to you right where you are. He has lavished His love on you and called you His child. He wants you for Himself.
Look up! Climb up on your Father's lap and feel His love and attention.
